Inspired by nature, created for development
The Alegre Design studio was inspired by nature, which is constantly changing and knows how to adapt. This principle is embedded in the design of the EIRA chair: the laconic shape and dynamic lines allow it to easily adjust to both the user and the surrounding space.
A design focused on comfort
The universal design of the chair is based on the idea of comfort for everyone and complemented by thoughtful details that support balance and a feeling of wellbeing. During development, the designers focused on a minimalist construction, refining the shape of the backrest and seat to achieve visual harmony and lightness, emphasised by the dynamic lines of the silhouette.
An ergonomically shaped backrest
The design of the EIRA chair supports free, natural movements, providing lightness and maximum comfort for every user. The ergonomically curved backrest adapts to the body, constantly supporting correct posture and promoting a healthier back position. This ensures lasting comfort during prolonged sitting, while the adjustable lumbar support additionally increases the level of convenience.
Functions for intuitive comfort
The EIRA work chair is equipped with all the necessary functions that provide easy adjustment and daily comfort at the workplace.
Synchronous mechanism
The EIRA model uses a synchro-mechanism that automatically responds to the user’s weight and eliminates the need to manually adjust the firmness of the backrest tilt. The chair adjusts to the sitter itself, providing a comfortable, natural seating position.
Locking positions
When necessary, you can easily lock the backrest in the desired position using the adjustment lever.
Adjustable lumbar support
The height-adjustable lumbar support adapts to the natural curve of the user’s back, reducing muscle tension and helping prevent back pain.
Headrest
This addition helps reduce neck muscle tension and, when reclining, provides additional support for the head and neck, increasing the overall level of comfort. The headrest is adjustable in height (up to 50 mm) and tilt angle (45°), and can also be equipped with an additional option for even greater convenience — a coat hanger.
Pneumatic height adjustment
Correct seat height adjustment helps maintain correct posture while sitting.
Sliding seat
Depending on individual needs, you can choose a fixed seat or a seat with depth adjustment.
Adjustable armrests
Enjoy comfortable support for the arms and shoulders even during prolonged work at a desk. You can choose adjustable 2D or 3D armrests of black plastic.
The eco-friendly Tale mesh material emphasises the natural aesthetic
The EIRA chair uses the eco-friendly Tale mesh material, made of 100% post-consumer recycled plastic. The mesh adapts to the user’s weight, retaining its shape and giving the backrest an expressive character and style. Tale stands out for its unique diamond-shaped weave structure, an irregular mélange effect and a soft surface that creates a feeling of cosiness.
Flexible adaptation to various working environments
Thanks to their universal design, EIRA work chairs easily adapt to work zones of different sizes, types and interior styles. The offered mesh shades harmoniously combine with a wide palette of fabrics, making it possible to arrange the same chair in different ways and create the look that best matches the planned workspace.
A conscious choice
The EIRA chair is not only comfort but also a conscious decision that matches the sustainable development goals of modern workspaces. Up to 43% of its components are made of recycled materials. The upholstery materials are certified in accordance with the environmental standards Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and EU Ecolabel and include the sustainable Tale mesh.
Functional and durable, EIRA is designed according to the principles of circularity: at the end of its life cycle, the chair can be disposed of in an eco-friendly way — 80% of the components can be disassembled and recycled, which ensures an overall predicted recyclability level of 68%.
