From 25 to 29 October, the international exhibition of the modern workspace, Orgatec, took place in Cologne. We presented 13 new products there and at the same time shared our vision of organising work in the modern world. This year we showcased an especially large number of collections created in tandem with well-known designers.
Attention to designer works
The D-CHAIR executive chair, the extensive range of SANDY low armchairs and chairs, and the multifunctional WORKLAB furniture — all these products were created in cooperation with the design studio Baldanzi & Novelli designers. Among other novelties presented at the exhibition and created by designers were the ARQUS executive furniture (Orlandini Design studio), the ZEDO desk system (designer Paolo Pampanoni), the ZooZoo system of coffee tables and poufs of a more convenient height (designer Annie Lee) and the CANNY high chairs, whose idea was born in the S.I. Design studio. Thus, seven of NARBUTAS’s 13 novelties are the work of designers’ hands.
Despite the fact that in the world NARBUTAS is known first and foremost, perhaps, as a manufacturer of quality work desks, the range we offer makes it possible to furnish an office almost entirely. We intend to increase our recognisability through other product groups too, so at the exhibition we paid special attention to office chairs — visitors to the NARBUTAS stand immediately noticed our newest collections of them. The pearl of the stand was the D-CHAIR executive chair, whose seating sensations visitors could assess right there, trying it out and leaving their feedback.
A demonstration of virtual tools
An especially large number of furniture pieces on the NARBUTAS stand was a reflection of the hybrid work model that has proven itself excellently in many offices. The ROUND Multipurpose high meeting tables, COMBUS metal shelving units and WORKLAB furniture are multifunctional products, easily adaptable to individual or team needs, that can travel around the whole office effortlessly, and they also stand out for their light, playful design.
The exhibition presented not only new furniture with its composition possibilities but also ideas for arranging space for the most varied kinds of activity. In addition, visitors were introduced to virtual tools — the NARBUTAS nSpace partner zone and the NARBUTAS virtual office, which simplify work and provide inspiration. We also presented to Orgatec visitors our wide possibilities of custom production.
We emphasised acoustics and sustainability — considerable interest at the exhibition was aroused by the PARTHOS collection of tables and acoustic products, which contain a lot of PET — a material that visually resembles felt: it is more than 50% made of recycled plastic and can be further recycled 100%.
The Orgatec exhibition took place after a four-year break, so live meetings with partners and new acquaintances gave us a sea of positive emotions. We were happy to have the opportunity to finally meet and communicate face to face. The discussions with partners started at the exhibition were continued in an informal setting — at the Koln-Sky restaurant, admiring the amazing panorama of the city.
