The ROUND Multipurpose collection has received the prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2025

We are glad to share great news: the **ROUND Multipurpose** table collection by **NARBUTAS** has been awarded the **Red Dot Design Award 2025** in the *”Office Furniture and Office Chairs”* category. This award is presented annually to the best products from all over the world, and ROUND Multipurpose deservedly joined their number.

According to designer **Rytė Milišiūnaitė**, *”Receiving a Red Dot is a great honour. It confirms that we are following world trends, offering relevant and aesthetically refined solutions for modern workspaces.”*

A design that combines functionality and aesthetics

Modern offices require more than just practicality — visual harmony is becoming an integral part of the workspace. The ROUND Multipurpose table collection is created with this philosophy in mind: it is suitable for different usage scenarios — from meeting rooms to personal workplaces.

Flexibility is achieved through a variety of heights, tabletop depths and a wide range of accessories, which makes it easy to adapt the system to specific tasks and styles.

The NARBUTAS product designer, Rytė Milišiūnaitė, comments:

“Our goal is to create a product that fits organically into any workspace. ROUND Multipurpose is a balance of simplicity, functionality and visual cleanliness. Every element is thought through to the smallest detail. The configurations can be adapted to minimalism, decorative accents can be added, or even elements of industrial or biophilic design can be introduced.”

Tables created for different work formats

The ROUND Multipurpose collection grew out of the experience gained in developing NOVA Wood — one of the most popular NARBUTAS products, which became the starting point for the new line. In ROUND Multipurpose we preserved the key principles — cleanliness of design and functionality — while adding a modern industrial aesthetic, making the collection even more versatile.

“When we presented NOVA Wood four years ago, it quickly became recognisable and sought-after. We were inspired by its success and decided to create a more affordable alternative. Instead of wooden supports — a metal frame in an industrial style. This made it possible to preserve our approach to design and quality while making the product more versatile and adaptable to various office spaces,” says Dovydas Balaišis, product development director of Narbutas International.

The ROUND Multipurpose collection includes tables of three different heights, with two tabletop depth options and a wide choice of accessories — from monitor holders and marker boards to storage shelves and hooks for personal belongings. Such flexibility makes it easy to adapt the workspace to any tasks: from team meetings and informal communication to individual, focused work.

A second international recognition

The Red Dot Design Award is one of the most prestigious world design competitions, held since 1955. The international jury evaluates products by a number of criteria: innovativeness, functionality, ergonomics, aesthetics, sustainability and user experience. The ROUND Multipurpose collection was recognised for the harmonious combination of all these characteristics in a modern solution that meets the requirements of the new-generation office environment.

This is already the second international award for the collection. In 2024, ROUND Multipurpose received the German Design Award for its versatility and laconic design. Both awards confirm: this table series was created with an eye to aesthetics, comfort and adaptability, while remaining a practical solution for modern workspaces.
