Rounded shapes were our source of inspiration
We strive to constantly expand the choice available to our clients. So, inspired by rounded shapes, we developed the ROUND desk collection, which stands out from the NARBUTAS product range, where rectangular work desks and meeting tables predominated until recently. It all started with legs made of round metal tubing, which later became the product’s main accent. The image of the ROUND collection is also complemented by a tabletop with slightly rounded corners. Pleasant-to-the-touch rounded shapes encourage closer collaboration and the exchange of ideas.
From a single desk to desk combinations designed for teams
Create the workstations you need to match the number of employees and the specifics of their work — from single desks to a variety of combinations. The latter are especially popular, as they let teams both large and small create spaces for collaboration and idea-sharing. Adding screens to a regular workstation is an excellent way to give employees greater privacy — while not hindering the exchange of ideas within the team.
Efficient workspace planning
The ROUND system combines the elements of work desks, cabinets and screens in a way that creates a wide range of workstation arrangements and plans the workspace efficiently. Unlike standard workplace layouts, in this desk combination no cabinets are installed to separate the desks from each other. Instead, the cabinets are placed next to the individual workstations. All this creates intuitively accessible storage for personal belongings, work tools and documents. Employees also gain the possibility of enlarging their desk area, since it now includes the width of the cabinet.
A modular cabinet system
The one-sided or two-sided arrangement of ROUND cabinets gives great freedom in choosing the most convenient working solution. The one-sided cabinet arrangement is an excellent option if an employee needs to keep many things constantly at hand; it also encourages movement around the office. The two-sided arrangement is perfect for team-type workstations, as well as in cases where an employee does not need many things to perform their duties. This solution allows more efficient, rational planning of the office space, since the cabinets can be accessed from both sides.
Defining the boundaries of the workspace
For the workstation you are creating, choose the most suitable ROUND cabinets and shelves from one of three available heights: cabinets level with the work desk and single- or two-tier shelves mounted on the cabinet. With their help you can separate storage areas and workstations according to functions and other needs, and provide the desired level of privacy, which may differ from employee to employee.
Cabinets level with the desk, with cable cut-outs:
- A completely open, contact-friendly space is created.
- Team collaboration and a continuous exchange of ideas are encouraged.
Single-tier shelves mounted on the cabinet:
- Clear vertical definition of the space and separation of individual workstations
- Visual contact between employees is maintained, encouraging communication and collaboration
- Helps employees stay connected to their surroundings and participate in the exchange of ideas
Two-tier shelves mounted on the cabinet:
- Clearly defined workspace boundaries for individual employees or the team.
- Visual privacy is ensured for seated employees.
- Greater concentration on individual work is encouraged.
Electrical solutions with wide application possibilities
The ROUND system makes it easier to connect several workstations to a single electrical circuit. The cabinets play an important role in transmitting power and network data, as they include space for cables. From the cabinet, power reaches the workstation easily and quickly via a cable holder mounted under the tabletop. The workstation looks neat and attractive, because the cables are hidden under the desk and inside the cabinet.
The cabinets include space for a socket unit, which can also be used to house various electronics — LAN modems (routers) and even a small emergency power supply. The socket unit has USB, LAN and 220 V connectors adapted to the standards of five countries: the EU, France, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the USA. Thanks to carefully considered electrical solutions, you can use the ROUND system to efficiently connect a group of workstations (up to 6 desks by European standards, up to 4 desks by US standards) to a single electrical circuit. All you need is one power socket in the floor or wall.
Employee needs come first
To create the ideal working environment, it is important to respond to the needs of every employee, taking into account the specifics of their tasks. As a rule, an effectively functioning office harmoniously combines individual and team workstations, open and closed spaces, capacious cabinets and shelves for storage, a cosy atmosphere, rational connection of utilities, and the ability to increase the number of workstations easily.
